Having difficulty selecting your best images to enter into photo awards? Do you need advice on how to describe your work in a submission? 

Join us when Head On Photo Festival Creative Director, Moshe Rosenzveig OAM, shares his tips and expertise for entering photo competitions and answer burning questions. With over two decades of experience judging photography awards around the world, Moshe will discuss elements that make a strong submission and share common mistakes that he has seen throughout his career.



Moshe Rosenzveig OAM is the founder and Creative Director of Head On Foundation, Australia’s premier photographic organisation, and the world-renowned Head On Photo Festival.

Moshe has over 45 years' of experience as a photojournalist, award-winning television producer/director and commercial photographer. He has taught at the University of Technology, the Australian Film, Television and Radio School and others. Moshe has judged for competitions such as OpenWalls, The Walkleys, Tokyo Photography Prize, Sydney’s Art & About and leads judging for the Head On Photo Awards. He is also a nominator for the Joop Swart Masterclass and Prix Pictet and a regular portfolio reviewer at international festivals including the Recontres d'Arles and Pingyao International Photography Festival.

Moshe received an Order of Australia Medal in 2018 for services to the arts.

In 2020 Moshe led a rapid adaptation to deliver the world’s first entirely online photo festival reaching 80,000 people globally through 83 live-streamed artist talks & workshops, and over online 100 exhibitions. Moshe also curated Covid-19 safe outdoor exhibitions at iconic Sydney sites such as Paddington Reservoir Gardens and Bondi Beach.

How live sessions work

  Once you've registered, you'll receive an email confirmation. The next steps are: 
  1. One hour before the session you will receive the link to the session.
  2. Playback will depend on your internet connection and computer set up.
  3. The session will be recorded and will be made available to paid Head On Photo Festival members at a later date.
