Creative Industries Exhibition Space, Dubbo Hospital

Exhibition Dates:

12 May 2016 to 23 August 2016

Exhibition Description

Following last year’s nature-themed exhibition ‘The Butterfly Effect’, students from the 2016 TAFE Western Photo Imaging course at Dubbo, bring you ‘Earthlings’. ‘Earthlings’ takes a look at what it is like to be human on the planet today. From a variety of hominid ancestors throughout our long history, humans have become the surviving species to continue to this day. It is thought that besides our expertise in tool making, humans survived (and flourished) due to our ability to create symbolic art. This exhibition of photographs, variously thoughtful, light hearted and serious, shows how we continue to make art with modern tools – to show and communicate the wonder of who we are.
