After successful exhibitions for two consecutive years in Head On showcasing some of the best of Sydney’s live music photography, ‘Wide Eyed Live’ is making a return this year with Volume 3.

Volume Three will be directing its focus towards an all-female line up of talented and driven photographers. In a strongly male dominated area of the photographic industry, we want to show off some of the best female photographers, who continuously rough it out in the pit and in the crowds to capture the most vibrant shots from the Sydney music scene and beyond.

Expect to see brilliant moments at Australian music festivals and gigs, massive crowds, pop and rock idols with their outstanding live shows and more. These women are doing everything it takes to get ‘that shot’ that perfectly captures the atmosphere of a show, the crowd, or the musician, as well as those fleeting moments that are breathtaking and define a live performance.

This group of talented female photographers has shot for a range of publications, including The Music, Tone Deaf, Moshcam, Music Feeds, The AU Review, Pages Digital, Life Music Media, Century Venues, Heavy Mag, Loud Online, Ampnlify, May The Rock Be With You and Sludge Factory.

These women are impassioned by their love of photography, the connections that come from live music and the lasting impact a great live music photograph can bring to the viewer. Featuring Clare Hawley, Rhiannon Hopley, Annette Sheridan, Gwendolyn Lee, Belinda Dipalo, Maria de Vera, Alicia Stephenson, Angela Padovan, Jodie Downey, Megan Carew and Kierra Thorn, Wide Eyed Live will be a vibrant retrospective of Sydney’s live music from the past twelve months (May 2015 – May 2016).
