Zebedee 3.0 is inspired by the dynamic light and reflections that appear during rainy nights on the road. Kerry Fluhr started the project with a camera rigidly attached to a tripod on the back seat of her car. After noticing the car’s bouncing movement produced interesting and dynamic effects, Fluhr sought to capitalise on the inherent movement through various means. After trialling a variety platforms she ultimately attached the camera to a spring mounted platform that allowed the camera to lean and bounce in response to the bumps and turns of the road. The platform’s shape reminds Fluhr of Zebedee, the moustachioed, spring-necked character on the children’s television series The Magic Roundabout.
