These photographs explore our cherished experiences on my uncle’s ranch in Dubois, Wyoming. Sadly, in 2021, he said goodbye to this place; his body could no longer hold onto the land. As he ages and his body breaks, he struggles with what will become of him and his life’s work.
These photographs document the work it takes to maintain the land and the toll it has taken. It is also the story of our family and how his sacrifices within this incredible landscape are woven into a single story about our connection to this land and each other.
Robyne is a photographer, researcher and storyteller. She is dedicated to supporting communities through photography, research and community-driven initiatives; and champions the power of storytelling. Harnessing the knowledge, that when people tell their stories, lives can be transformed; both for those who tell them and for those who are listening. Through these stories, people can learn how to reduce barriers, change stereotypes, and build stronger and more aware communities.
Robin has an MPH in epidemiology from George Washington University, and a MA in Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University.
