Head On Portrait Prize is the nation's major innovative showcase for Australian portrait photography, reflecting a vibrant, diverse cross-section of new and traditional photographic practices.

The judges for the 2012 Portrait Prize are multi award winning photographer Tamara Dean, Monash Gallery Director Shaune Lakin, ABC broadcaster Robbie Buck and Head On curator Moshe Rosenzveig. The ‘Critic’s Prize’ will be selected by photography critic Robert McFarlane.

Masterclass with Magnum Photographer

Expressions of interest are now open for David Alan Harvey’s Masterclass at Bondi Pavilion during the 2012 Head On Photo Festival.

Monday 7 May - Friday 11 May 2012.

Head On Photo Festival is proud to announce that legendary Magnum photographer David Alan Harvey will conduct a once in a lifetime Master-class with 15 talented Aussie photographers, as part of the festival during May. Harvey’s Master-class will be a rare opportunity for emerging photographers to be mentored by one of the world’s most engaging photographers.
