We all house secrets. We all feel like an outsider at times. We can choose to reveal ourselves or keep things nicely tucked up inside. But sometimes a little light leaks out. These are some secrets I found. Why do we fear the unknown and what does this say about our own self rather than the reality?

Helene Chandiok is a documentary photographer who likes looking around corners and believes there is a story in everything. Her work captures the sublime in the ordinary. Having studied photography and media related subjects at university she worked in television production for several years – as a camera assistant, sound recordist, stills photographer and 2nd camera operator. For the past few years, Helene has solely focused on still photography. Her work has been exhibited in Australia and overseas.
